Habitat for Humanity

24 Habitat volunteers arrived bright and early November 7 to begin construction on the eighth Habitat home sponsored by Pelican Landing. After a brief ceremony and prayer, the "nail pounders" began. It was a beautiful day from all aspects. Jose and Mariela Carrillo joined the work crew which was very special. They are the new owners of the home. The Carrillo's have two small children. Mariella works at the Pelican Landing Publix in customer service. After 3 days, the outside walls, the trusses and 1/3 of the interior walls have been built. Lunch was provided by Pelican's Nest.
