One of the benefits of our web site is that we have the domain name pl-csc. One of the benefits of that is that any of us can own a personalized e-mail address. For instance name@pl-csc where “name” can be your first or last name or anything else.  Our internet host can provide either on-line access to such accounts, or download e-mail to an e-mail client like Outlook, or forward all of the mail that comes to any such address to any other email provider (e.g. Yahoo, Goggle, AOL, etc. If you would like to take advantage of this send an e-mail to here with what name you’d like to proceed the @, and what you want to do with the email that comes to that address.

As owners at Creekside Crossing we each own our condo plus a 1/114 share of the common property. We each have the same rights and responsibilities associated with that ownership. As the common property is jointly owned we need a system of governance that allows us to balance the needs of all and efficiently get the work done that maintaining our common property requires. As close neighbors with our individual properties we need to balance individual rights and responsibilities also so that we all have a satisfying environment for our lives. Sometimes this requires some give and take with our neighbors which is both a matter of governance and neighborly consideration and compromise.

Much of this page is devoted to governance. It is defined and administered through state, county, city, development and condo organization that we are part of. Also on this page are some hopefully helpful hints (disaster planning and mitigation, insurance, suppliers of goods and services) that those who have lived here longer have learned and can pass on so that others don’t have to go through the same trial and error involved in learning them. Finally links to utilities that are supplied to our community.

Use the links above to get to the various sections this page is organized into and hopefully you’ll find what you’re looking for.

To lead this information off, because they are the first contacts in many situations, here is some information on your neighbors who volunteered and were elected  to be on the front lines of the Condo Owners Association.

Disaster Plan

Let's define disaster as anything risking people or property. Disaster Planning is identifying things we can/should/must do before, during or after a disaster to mitigate those risks.

Our priorities are people over property. Also, things that can be done to reduce the possibility or seriousness of damage by any disaster before it occurs are more effective than recovery after it occurs.

In many ways we benefit from other's disaster planning already in place at the federal, state, county, city, Pelican Landing levels of government. Very often the answers to our problems lie in knowing how to obtain the most effective and timely help from others.

Typical primary causes of disaster are fire, wind, flooding, water intrusion, home invasion, vermin infestation, earthquakes, tornadoes and health/injury issues. A prominent secondary cause in the tropics is mold/mildew growth. http://disaster.ifas.ufl.edu/ is a great reference for many disasters we might face. Don't put off reading at least the most pertinent parts of it until it's too late to implement the suggestions you'll find there .

Because we cannot predict with any certainty almost any aspect of disaster the best we can do is to recognize those combinations of probability and seriousness that are our biggest threats.

Here’s a growing list of disasters we have some plans in place for.
